Well, I didn’t think I’d ever find myself at this site, and I doubt you’ll ever read this but it’s a nice idea. Your name is Clarissa and we met on a plane by chance since I traded seats with a guy who wanted to sit with his family. We were both coming from the Philippines and we talked for a few hours which made the 13 hr flight go by faster. I remember I spent the entire first half of the trip trying to figure out if you were from the Phils. I kept looking over at you like a creeper or listening to how you spoke when you talked to the stewardess. Finally around the 7th hour or so I gathered up the courage to ask you. I felt dumb sitting next to someone for 7 hours speechless and then just sparking up a conversation, but you were really cool. I’ve never met someone who understands the confusion/anxiety of living in two different cultures (US/Phils) like you do. It was cute how uneasy you were about going back to the US. I learned so much about you except your last name and number 
Your father is in finance and works at a bank in Ortigas. You go to school in Virginia and just finished your first year. Your brother goes to school in Boston. You’re Indonesian (which is so awesome) but you grew up in the Phils. And our lives are pretty much the exact opposite of each other. That’s why I’d like to talk to you again because I’m surprised how well we meshed. When we got off the plane we both had connecting flights which were already boarding, so I took off right away (which I now feel like an a** for doing). I hope you caught your flight and by chance I’ll see you again someday…
