So I was sitting at the gate in Newark after a 3+ hour flight from Miami, had a bit of cabin fever from the long flight so I was moving around when I looked over to the escalator and saw the most stunning girl. She caught my eye right away and once she looked over, it was downhill from there. As I fidgeted around waiting for the flight (UA 4849) to board I thought to myself, OMG imagine she\’s on my flight and next to me. To my surprise as I boarded the flight and went to take my seat 12B she was sitting in the same row across the aisle 12E. As I tried to fit my carry on in the compartment she got up and asked if she could help me. I thanked her and told her I had to turn it in, when I walked back she had given up her seat so a couple could sit together and ended up sitting next to me in seat 12A. At that point all I could think of was how do I start a conversation with this girl. The armrest never came down between us and the more she played with her ring and looked at the magazines the more I wanted to speak to her but was soo nervous that words wouldn\’t come out. As we exited the flight she walked ahead of me and we crossed paths again looking for where to exit. At that point I thought I wouldn\’t see her again. As my ride and I were leaving I looked over and she was loading her things into the car that was picking her up and our eyes locked yet again, but it was too late. This was a total \”how I met your mother\” episode with Buttercup moment minus the fact that I never worked up the courage to talk to her. So to the amazing girl with the yellow skinny jeans, grey t, and tan coat if you are out there and would give me another chance I would completely make up for my lack of courage and would love to hear from you.
