It’s been more than 11 years ago, but I still recall this Armenian college student I met at Sheremetyevo Airport. I was a tourist from Tokyo visiting Armenia, and he was flying from Newark to Sheremetyevo to Zvartnots. It was a long wait before the departure, so we naturally started to talk to kill time. During the conversation, I found out that he was majoring in Tourism and English, coming home to complete his school in Yerevan after spending 1+1/2 years in Cape Cod and got all his luggage stolen at Newark. He helped me basically in everything from finding my luggage to getting my Armenian visa at Zvarnots where none of the staff spoke English. I still wonder how he’s doing quite often, and would like to say thanks. It’s one of my biggest regrets that I didn’t ask for his email address or last name. All I know is his first name which is quite common, so it doesn’t help much.
